About Me
Hi Everyone! My name is Alex. I'm a mama to a little girl named Lila.
I'm also a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN, LDN), Master of Public Health, Certified Lactation Counselor, and Community Health Education Specialist specializing in fertility, prenatal, postpartum, women's health, and pediatric nutrition! My passion in life is helping women and families nourish their bodies with confidence so they can thrive at every stage of life.
If you're a mom, you're in the right place!
For years, I have been helping families improve their lives through better nutrition. But it wasn't until my time working for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) that I fell in love with helping moms and babies the most!

I've worked in our traditional healthcare system, and I know the gaps. These days women receive minimal support, education, and encouragement around perinatal and pediatric nutrition.
-
Your fertility specialist may not mention anything about optimizing your chances with nutrition or give you a simple generic handout.
-
You might not see your OBGYN until you are 8-12 weeks pregnant, but that is a whole THREE months of being pregnant and not having support from a healthcare provider, not to mention the most critical window of development.
-
During postpartum no one checks on you past your 6 week visit.
-
For women's health in general it's hard to get some providers to even take you seriously.
-
And for kiddos, you just want to make sure everything is ok for your little one.
Then when you do get to see the doctor, you get about 5-10 minutes with them. That's not nearly enough time to sit with you to truly understand you and your needs. You probably want someone who you can reach out to whenever you have questions, someone you can trust to give you information that is credible so you don't have to go looking up random Google information, someone who will actually take the time to listen to you.

I saw this need. I want to give moms the care they deserve. And that's why I started Alex Gardner Nutrition. Every single mom is unique, every single pregnancy is unique, and every single baby is unique. That is why you probably want someone who will create a unique plan just for you and your little one.

In addition to the several years of training and various certifications, I have first hand experience that helps me connect with families. Like I said, I am a mama first and foremost. I had pre-eclampsia, I had a baby with colic, I had breastfeeding difficulties, my daughter ended up with an allergy to multiple foods that had to be excluded from both our diets. I'm just like you, I just use my expertise and experience to help others!

So what better time to nourish yourself and your family than right now?
